I’m sure that by now, we’ve all experienced lines from our characters that have made us laugh out loud and cheer them on, whether they’re punching bad guys, belittling good guys, or, well, just being charmingly clever and/or a goofball (often at the same time). I know I have. My Smuggler’s probably my favorite source of amusing one-liners, though I’ve seen some great lines from my Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter, Trooper, and my friend’s Sith Inquisitor. There’s good material to be found in every class story. BioWare’s writing team did a pretty awesome job with most of the dialog, and created some memorable moments.

When SWTOR launched, I started a list of memorable character lines, and have been adding to that list ever since. I finally decided it was high time to share that list! I also couldn’t help but add to the list using some suggestions from fellow SWTOR players. Some of these may be slightly paraphrased, as a warning, so if you notice any glaring mistakes, drop me a line in the comments section. Oh, and if you have any additional suggestions for my ‘huge list o’ cool lines’, feel free to to chime in with them!

If you are wondering about the character transfer situation, we have an update of available servers. If you watch closely you’ll find that Bioware is consolidating around 6-12 different servers. It will be interesting to see how the process finished as there are reports of queues again on some of the more popular servers.

For full updates, please check out this thread on the official forums.

Daniel Erickson was recently interviewed by NOWGamer and the topic of server mergers and transfers came up. Here is a small clip of what they discussed. For the full article, follow the link below.

“One of the problems we’re running into right now is kind of a classic MMO problem, which is that our overall population of players has not changed, but our peak concurrent users has changed,” Erickson told NowGamer following last week’s 1.2 Legacy update.

“As the game goes on and people relax a little bit, not playing the game 7-8 hours a day, you see a lot less crowds especially in certain places. Right now we’ve got our character transfer stuff underway on this side. It hasn’t rolled out yet – it will soon, to allow people to move to servers that will be better to their liking, get communities together. Long term we actually have to look at servers as a whole. The nice part about it is we have doubled how many people we can put on each server since launch. The down side is that at launch, because people were upset at the long queues we aired on the side of opening up more space. What that has now done is separated our player-base into a larger group.”

Erickson said that current server merging would have resulted in large queues with the 1.2 update.
