Yesterday, the folks at BioWare started a brand new SWTOR blog series– Companions 101. The series will take a closer look at our character companions, delving into some brief storyline spoilers, personality quirks, past character development, and of course, some insight from the writers who wrote the companions’ stories. The first installment was all about Kaliyo Djannis, the Imperial Agent’s first companion, who comes armed with a kick-butt attitude, plenty of snark, and objectives that don’t always stay inline with the Empire.
Welcome to our first Companions 101 blog! While traveling through The Old Republic™ galaxy, you will encounter a variety of companions that can join your crew. This weekly blog is meant to be supplemental to our Companion Holonet series and it will provide insights and tips for each companion as well as a wallpaper and screenshots of their customizations. Each week, we will rotate between Imperial and Republic companions. Let us know who you would like to see featured in future blog posts by posting your suggestion in the official forum thread for this blog post. Blasters ready? Let’s go!
The article also includes some in-depth information on how Kaliyo jives with the rest of the IA’s companions, and some pictures of her companion customizations available. For all the dirt on Kaliyo, see the full blog article.
Personally, Kaliyo’s my favorite character companion. She’s funny, and she’s definitely a complex character– I love complex characters. She’s a lot like Mass Effect’s Jack– and to me, that’s awesome. Who do you want to see BioWare cover next in Companions 101? As a fiction writer myself, I love official features like this. So many companions, so little time.
