Big news, PTS testers! Terror from Beyond, the new Operation coming in Game Update 1.4, is now available for player testing on the SWTOR Public Test Server. Also available is most of the content coming to us in the Game Update, including the new Legendary Dread Guard gear. BioWare published a news article detailing all of the features. Here’s a snippet:
Operation: Terror From Beyond will take you to the remote world of Asation where the ancient alien race known as the Gree have been guarding dangerous archaic technologies that were abandoned long ago.. The Secrets of the Gree have been kept safe on Asation for centuries, but all that has changed. The mysterious Sith Lords known as the Dread Masters have found a way to unlock the ancient Gree Hypergates, opening a door to an unknown place and an unspeakable horror that now threatens the entire galaxy. It will be your mission to close the portal before it’s too late and to destroy whatever gets through.
BioWare has also released a behind-the-scenes Developer Dispatch video for Terror from Beyond, showing off some of the scenes and cool bosses from the Operation. The video is also viewable on YouTube.
One important thing to note– unfortunately, BioWare has not enabled PTS character transfers for Game Update 1.4, which basically means that unless you had the chance to transfer a level 50 character in a previous testing phase, it will be quite difficult to test the new Operation.
