SWTOR’s Legacy system is unique in the fact that it can be used to easily add quality-of-life features to the game in the form of Legacy perks. Most of the perks so far haven’t been game content, but rather– cool bonuses that make life easier. And speaking of content, since we’re kind of in a new content “in between patch” void at the moment, it’s an ideal time for players to think outside the box a little bit and imagine what other types of quality-of-perks they’d like to see added to the Legacy system.

One thread on the official forums has been made just for that purpose. In it, some players have very good ideas. We thought we’d share some of them. Keep reading, and feel free to add your own suggestions in the comments section!

Your speeder license now allows you to drive a second person around in your speeder (Possibly restricted to larger speeders).

Mascot (2, 3, 4, 5)

You may name your mini-pet, and having it out during combat provides a __ bonus to Presence.

Charismatic Presence

10,000 / 20,000 / 50,000
Increases experience gained from repeatable (daily) quests by 5 / 10 / 15%

Purchasable Dances
Allows you to purchase other dances for your toons. Would love to see some custom dances here not seen in other class/race combinations but also have those available for purchase as well.

Convenience: Temporary Speeder Boost (skill)
Requires Level 50
Requires Legacy Level 20
600,000 credits
1 Minute cooldown
Boosts your speeder’s speed by 50% for 30 seconds.

As an end note, many players aren’t completely pleased with the current Legacy perks that both require a certain Legacy level and a large amount of credits. Credit sinks in MMOs can be good, but not all Legacy perks have to be credit sinks, too. Many players would rather see SWTOR’s economy readjusted as a whole, including fixes to the crafting system, instead of more Legacy credit sinks. I can’t help but agree, but at the same time, something tells me it may be a while before we see some serious work to the crafting system.

Other players suggested Legacy unlocks for features like dual spec and saved customized outfits. Features like this would definitely be welcome, but we should probably see them added to SWTOR as actual features, and not Legacy perks.

Legacy perk I’d love to see is a Earned Cash Bonus. Much like gaining extra XP from Class missions, warzones etc, except instead of getting more xp you get more cash.

A bunch of these are great. A summon and shuttle to the ship, not to mention shared storage and money, seem like a great idea.
