Warning!!  This video has Spoilers in it!!

If you missed the big news in game there is a Rakghoul Infestation on Tatooine!!  Not only are there broadcasts going out while at the Fleet, but there is also a news station where you can watch the broadcast warning you stay away.  So naturally I headed straight there!

The new event at first glance is very cool.  You get infected which can temporarily disable you for a few seconds and containment droids can call in troops to attack you so you don’t spread the disease.  But as things progress you realize there isn’t that much more to look forward to.

At least from what I’ve seen so far (I could have missed something this early in).  There was only 2 cut scenes, of which you only take part in one of them yourself.  Also, the story aspect of the event is pretty weak.  There’s Rakghouls, go stop them.  An over simplification maybe, but that’s all I felt like I did.

Also, the PvP aspect of the event is literally Ilum 2.0.  When I walked up to the vendor I saw about 20-30 Republic and Empire players clustered together and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why.  Then it was explained to me that they were trading kills for extra DNA Samples.  /sigh

But don’t let all of that turn you off of the event.  While it has its downsides, it was still a blast to do.  And the rewards, depending on your predilections, are very worth it!  Check out the video for more information and I will be covering other things about this event in the upcoming days!

First time i was infected I didn’t know what I had. I thought it was a glitch or something as I was in a warzone. I looked very cool with glowing eyes. Then I died from another player who got infected too (realized that later). The event feels awesome: the story, the fear and the rewards. It spreads even in warzones! =)

Now fix PVP please. Undo last patch or something <_<

PvP is more balanced now, but if your bitching about how you want them to revert to 1.1.X, then you’re just a noob who can’t adapt to new play style. bad players who bitch will always be bad players.

Changes in 1.2 are bad, but he probably didn’t meant class changes but warzone changes. People are stopping playing wzs. Even Bioware addmits that. 20 years ago I learned that people calling others noobs are actually noobs themselves.

Did people even USE the term “noobs” 20 years ago?  My memory’s a bit fuzzy, I was only 7.

          • Noob

welll…. i remember when i was 7 noob was a cool term… in reference to ultimate mortal kombat 3 and the character noob saibot… but maybe that was just me and my circle of friends…
